like sunlight gleams thy grace,
o Lord
David Macfarlane's first solo attempt at hymn writing with both words and music has turned out brilliantly. He wrote the words and music in his spare time in Summer 2006 as he was busy serving as a counselor at Especially For Youth. In October 2006 he made the lovely recording available below. Like Sunlight Gleams Thy Grace, O Lord expounds on our relationship with Jesus Christ and invites all to come to Him and find His grace.
The SATB version of this hymn works well in either the D or E-flat editions; however, the E-flat edition may be difficult for choirs without adequate soprano and tenor sections. D is recommended for congregational use.
The MP3 from David Macfarlane is in E, but for lower-voiced TTBB groups, the edition in D will work well.
