Just for Fun: Waltz in 45 Seconds

Did you ever play Chopin’s “Minute Waltz”? This is nothing like that. Born of dorm life boredom in 2000, this brief waltz was too much fun to keep in the bottom drawer of the filing cabinet. If you enjoy it, good. If you don’t, at least you haven’t even spent even a minute of your life listening to it. Grate Music somewhat proudly presents Nathan Howe’s Waltz in 45 Seconds. Download it on our Instrumental Music page.

A New Recording and a New Website

A new recording by Nathan Howe - The Sacred Grove - is now available on our LDS Recordings page. This recording is the first offering from our new partner site - LDSmusic.us. The site will feature music geared more specifically toward Latter-day Saints, while gratemusic.com will continue to provide music of more general interest, including general Christian music and some music with no religious content.

The release of this song also introduces a new marketing concept for gratemusic.com and LDSmusic.us - we are making the music available for download without charge, trusting that you will make a donation if you honestly enjoy it or believe it is valuable. Thank you in advance for your integrity.

Written in July 2001, The Sacred Grove is a testimony of the divine experience of Joseph Smith’s vision of the Father and the Son in 1820. The song was written by Nathan Howe for a Mission President’s fireside when he was serving in the Australia Sydney South Mission. It was the last fireside for President and Sister Hansen, and this song is dedicated to them. One of President Hansen’s favorite phrases is “We are one day closer,” meaning that today we are one day closer to the coming of Christ. This concept made its way into the third verse. Download and enjoy the MP3 of The Sacred Grove on our LDS Recordings page.
