What is the difference between gratemusic.com and LDSmusic.us?
LDSmusic.us is specifically geared toward members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, while gratemusic.com contains both general Christian music and other music without religious themes. Both sites are owned and operated by the same company.
Who does your web design?
Nathan Howe. He can do yours, too. E-mail him through the contact page.
Who is Grate Music?
Nathan Howe and David Macfarlane run the company. Other musicians and support staff are also involved. See the about page for more information on our history.
Do you make a living with these sites?
No. We make a living by working. Music is our joy, but not currently our full-time employment.
Why do I have to give my e-mail address to access some files on your sites?
Offering free access to the music is expensive. If we offer our larger files (especially recordings) without any protection, our bandwidth costs will be too high to be able to continue to offer the products we do. By sending you a username and password, we keep automated systems from stealing our bandwidth and assure that you (the real customer) will be able to access the music.
Can I make a donation?
Absolutely. Donations are the only reason we can offer all this music. There are PayPal donation links on each page. If you prefer to send a check, you can e-mail us through the contact page for the address. If you want to donate equipment or services, (i.e. microphones, studio time, instruments, etc.), please contact us.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
No. Although we currently use a donation-based business model, we are not a registered nonprofit organization.
Can I be a Grate Music artist?
We are always open to proposals from good musicians. E-mail us through the contact page and we'll talk.
Can I be famous by having my question answered on your FAQ page?
Perhaps, if you send a good one through the contact page.
Keep the music coming
