The Grate Music Story
Grate Music was founded by University students in April 2006. We camel from Colorado, and we met in Greeley while attending the University of Northern Colorado. David has since left for BYU. Much of the great music of Grate Music has come from local firesides and other Church programs for which we have written songs. Soon after starting gratemusic.com, we began LDSmusic.us to provide content specifically focused toward our Latter-day Saint users.
Nathan Howe
Nate started writing LDS music seriously in 2000, and he wrote many of his most familiar songs as a missionary in the Australia Sydney South Mission. He lives in Greeley, Colorado with his wife Alli. He is currently studying music education, working as a sprinkler technician, coaching speech and debate at a local high school, and writing in the third person. You can read more about him and his music through his artist page at NoiseBox.net. By the way, he borrowed the car from his grandmother.
David Macfarlane
David has loved music since he was a small boy, and became convinced of its power to communicate truth and influence others for good during his service in the Argentina Buenos Aires West Mission. He is currently a student at BYU studying Business Management and will pursue a career in the Church Educational System. He also enjoys hiking, watching Jeopardy, and occasionally performing his famous pirate dance.
